Eagles Lose in Double Overtime
After tying the game 1-1 on a goal by Will Ginsberg Iassisted by Ian Beach) with under five minutes to play in the second half, the Eagles lost in the second overtime 2-1 to Plymouth North. Coach Kaye remarked "This was a tough loss. I really thought we outplayed Plymouth North for most of the game, but we missed to many scoring chances and it came back to hurt us. Losing in double overtime is never easy, but we came back after being down a goal and tied it up. It was very typical of this years team as they never quit and I'm still very proud of all of them. It was still a very successful season, and we will miss the 8 seniors. We will regroup and be back next year with an even stronger team and we expect to be back in the State Tournament."
